It misses small thickness differences that throw off your measurements. You need readings down to fractions of a millimeter and eyeballing that never works. Use it on paper, cloth, or metal in a workshop, lab, or toolbox setup.

This slides your material between the probe and base and presses the lever down. The large LCD shows the thickness reading down to 0.001mm or 0.00005 inch. Hit zero to reset between readings or switch between metric and imperial.
The range runs from 0 to 12.7mm, covering materials up to 0.5 inch thick. Hard alloy steel makes up the frame and measuring surfaces for durability through use. The lever applies 3N of pressure consistently across each reading.

A tooth clamp knob locks things steady so readings stay consistent on delicate materials. The compact build fits a toolbox or bag for use wherever the job is. A button battery powers it with a data port onboard.

What types of materials can this gauge measure?
The gauge can be used on paper, fabric, and metal within the 0 to 12.7mm measurement range. It is suitable for checking thin sheet materials as well as materials up to 0.5 inch thick.
How do I switch between millimeter and inch readings?
A dedicated button on the unit switches the display output between metric and imperial at any point during use, so you can move between millimeter and inch readings without resetting or restarting the gauge between measurements.
What does the tooth clamp knob do during a measurement?
The clamp knob help locks the probe position steady once the material is in place, which keeps delicate or thin materials from shifting during the reading.
