You need a temperature reading but can't safely touch what you're checking. You guess, wait, and still aren't sure if what you're checking is ready. Point and read hot oil, cooking surfaces, or equipment from up to a foot away.

Aim the laser dot, pull the trigger, and the sensor reads in 0.5 seconds. The 12:1 distance ratio lets you read a surface accurately without touching it. The backlit LCD shows readings in °F or °C even in low light.
The range runs from -58°F to 752°F so it covers freezer checks and high heat cooking. Enhanced infrared sensing filters out environmental interference so readings stay consistent across conditions. The ABS body handles regular job site and kitchen use without cracking.

The battery indicator shows when power is running low so you're not caught mid reading. It runs on 2 AAA batteries and the screen light adjusts to different lighting conditions, a user manual and box come in the package.

Can it be used to check body temperature?
This thermometer is designed for surface readings on objects and equipment rather than medical body temperature measurement. For accurate body temperature readings, a dedicated medical thermometer calibrated for that purpose is recommended.
Does it work on shiny or reflective surfaces?
Infrared thermometers can return less accurate readings on highly polished or reflective surfaces as they may pick up reflected energy rather than the true surface temperature. Matte or non reflective surfaces give the most consistent and reliable results.
How far away can I stand and still get an accurate reading?
The 12:1 distance to spot ratio means the measurement area increases the further you stand from the surface. Staying within a reasonable distance keeps the measured spot focused and the reading more precise for the specific area you are checking.
Is it suitable for outdoor use in varying weather conditions?
The ABS body handles regular handling in different environments well. Extreme cold or heat outdoors may affect reading consistency, and allowing the thermometer to adjust to ambient temperature before taking measurements helps maintain accuracy in varying outdoor conditions.
