Why your parcel comes from abroad, and what “Delivered Duty Paid” means for you
The Marova team
We would rather explain how Marova works than have you wonder. This post covers where orders are dispatched from, why delivery takes 6 to 12 business days, and why you will never be asked for a customs fee at the door.
Where orders are prepared
Marova Shop is a trading name of HypeScaling LTD, a company registered in England (number 17117457). We do not run a warehouse in the UK. Orders are prepared and dispatched by our fulfilment partner in China, then carried to the UK by YunExpress and delivered by Royal Mail. That is the model that lets us sell a wide range of everyday products at the prices you see.
Why 6 to 12 business days
Processing takes 1 to 2 business days. International transit, including customs clearance in the UK, takes 5 to 10. Tracking can pause for a couple of days while a parcel clears customs or changes carrier; that is normal, and the tracking number you receive by email follows the parcel through both companies.
Delivered Duty Paid, in plain English
When goods enter the UK from outside, import VAT and, above certain values, duty are payable. On a DDP shipment, we pay those before the parcel reaches you. The carrier will never ask you for a customs charge, a handling fee or VAT on delivery. The price on the website is the final price. If anyone ever asks you to pay to release a Marova parcel, do not pay and email us — it is not a legitimate charge.
Returns
Returns go to our returns centre in France, not to China. Email us first; we send the instructions and the address, and you have 14 days from that email to post the parcel back. Return postage is yours; there is no delivery charge to deduct because delivery was free. We refund within 14 days of receiving the item. Faulty or wrong items are different: we cover the return and replace or refund in full.
Who to contact
A real person answers contact@marova-shop.com within 1 to 2 business days, Monday to Friday. Our Shipping Policy, Returns and Refund Policy and Legal Notice are linked in the footer and say the same things as this post — if they ever do not, tell us and we will fix it.
